Adventures with the “Scorpios”
December 06, 2017.
The last couple of days we continued our trek in exploring more spots on the island. We walked the beach to the town of San Pedro and began our search for rental properties for future dates.
We stopped in at the Palapa Bar for some lunch and a beverage. There we watched people floating on Innertubes having a cold one. This is signature for this bar.
Then last night we attended the Crazy Canucks Bar for the crab races. It is just down the beach from where we are staying and these races are a feature every Tuesday evening. Lots of fun and Suzie and I actually won the first of seven races!
Attached are some pictures of our latest adventures.
More to come!
Cheers, Terry

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
December 08, 2017.
On Wednesday we rented a golf cart and took an excursion to the north side of the island. Since our last visit here 4 years ago they have a paved route now north of the bridge for 5 miles. Previously this was only a dirt path.
We visited a new restaurant (Crocs) while there and also stopped at the local school there where Suzie donated some supplies we had brought with us from Canada.
Last night we visited the famous “Chicken Drop” at the Wahoo Lounge. This is another weekly event on Thursday nights. A chicken is dropped on a big bingo card and where it decides relieve itself on the card that number wins the Drop. Tickets are purchased prior to the drop.
Today we are off on a snorkeling adventure.
Stay tuned. More pics in a couple of days.
Cheers, Terry

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
December 10, 2017.
Well let me say that Friday was a very interesting day. One of Suzie’s bucket list items was to swim with the sharks off the reef in Ambergris. So alas, we booked a snorkeling tour to Ho-Chan and Shark/Ray alley for this morning. Please notice I said this was Suzie’s bucket list item and not mine!
So off we went on a 20 minute boat ride to the reef. Ho-Chan was the first stop which is basically an 80 ft wide channel that leads from the inside of the reef to the outside sea. Lots of coral and fish, etc.
I think I failed to mention that this Harley guy likes to be on top of the water, not in it, so consequently I stayed on the boat!
After about 50 minutes we were off to Shark/Ray alley. After the snorklers were in the water the tour guide then proceeded to chum the water with food for the Sharks and Rays. Now, let me tell you when Suzie said swim with the Nurse sharks I’m thinking ok, they are little things a couple of feet long.
OMG was I in for a surprise!
Some of these sharks were upwards of 6 to 8 feet long and huge. Once again, this Harley guy stayed on the boat. All I can say it that it was quite and adventure!
Yesterday we just relaxed and walked the beach and took some more photos!
Four more days of paradise here and then back to the cold.
Not looking forward to it!
Enjoy the pictures.
Cheers, Terry

Yes that’s an 8 ft shark swimming by the boat!
Lots of commotion when feeding.
Tour guide “Pepper” hanging on to a stingray.
Our resort for the 14 days.
Bar and restaurant area.
Dive, fishing and snorkeling tours at our resorts pier.

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
December 12, 2017.
Our vacation here is coming very close to the end. The day after tomorrow we head back to cold snowy Canada. We have seen most of the island and visited everything we wanted to. Our plan is to return here in the new year and escape the frigid temperatures back home.
On Monday evening Suzie cooked up some local lobster and rice. She purchased the lobster off one of the locals that had been out diving on the reef. It was absolutely delicious!
Yesterday we made a venture to the local bagel and coffee shop. It was not too far from where we are staying.
This could be the last post until we head for the friendly skies on Thursday unless we see some interesting things we would like to share.
We hope you have all enjoyed the photos from our latest adventure.
As always more to come in the future!
Cheers, Terry
They are building this new complex next to our resort.
This is where we hope to be staying in the new year.
The local bagel store.
Next door to the bagel store is the coffee house.
Suzie’s delicious lobster and rice meal she cooked up Monday night!

Once again, some great pics & thanks for sharing! Sounds like it's time to get back to reality for you two.... LOL! Expecting 1-2" of the white stuff where I live in WI today so may be able to get the Polaris Rush out soon?? But being optimistic, just a few short months until we can get the HD's back out on the road though!!

Adventures with the “Scorpios”
December 15, 2017.
Well as jkghdrider said in the previous post it truly is back to reality for us this morning. We left Ambergris at 10:30 am yesterday morning on our trek upwards to Canada. After 3 flights we landed in Detroit Michigan at 11:35 pm. An hour and a half later after claiming our luggage and proceeding to clean 6” of snow off our truck we made the 1 hour drive back to Canada.
Arrival time at home here was 3:10 am Friday.
A long day to say the least, but not too worry, we will be turning around and doing this all over again in January.
We have secured a place on Ambergris to spend the winter months, and will return to Canada in the spring of next year just in time for Harley weather hopefully.
Attached is a picture of the man cave from the patio doors this morning. 6” of snow and -7C (19F). Brrrrrrrrrr!
As always more updates to the thread in the future.
Thanks for following us and we hope you all enjoy a safe and happy holiday season!
Cheers, Terry
