Question North River Road from Bald River Falls

Planning a ride going through Tellico to Robbinsville, planning on going by Bald River Falls on the way. BaseCamp wants to draw the route along North River Road towards Robbinsville instead of going back to the Skyway. We've done the Skyway several times and might want to run the other route. Can anyone tell me what North River Road is like? That is, is it good pavement? Google Maps satellite view only shows that it is heavily wooded; can't see the road. I'm not looking to take a gravel road.

Thanks.

Default Gravel Road

I only know of 2 roads that go from Tellico Plains to Robbinsville and one is the Skyway and the other is gravel...

It's a gravel road not much more than a fire trail.
