Default MO and AR Ozarks Trip

Plan on hitting the Ozarks in a couple weeks. Staying in Hollister MO (a little south of Branson) as a base to hit the roads mainly in AR. A couple great ride map sites. Im thinking on doing the Ride called the Piglet Run. About 175 miles, let me know what you think and if any suggestions on spots to check out or whatever would love to hear them.

Definitely a great ride. The Ozarks are a hidden gem in these parts. It’s not the “Tail of the Dragon” but it’s still a blast to ride a nice backroad adventure.

Lots of nice roads along the northern edge of Arkansas towards Eureka Springs as well. Enjoy!

That part of MO and AR is pretty much pick a road. Another suggestion is MO76 from Branson to Bradleyville then MO125 south to Bull Shoals Lake. There is a free ferry there to Peel, AR. Continue on AR125 then AR14 west to US65 north.

Enjoy the ride!

Where you are starting in Mt Judea is a great road! That stretch is more challenging than Deals Gap and has virtually no traffic! 123 is a nice road all the way to Clarksville. 103 going to oark is also fun. Just a word of advice. Both of those roads have some switchbacks going up the mountain that suggest 10 mph. Make sure you have it in first gear! The same with Mt Nebo if you decide to do it. When in Oark be sure and go to the General Store. Great burgers and homemade pie! Your route leaving there is another great road, but when you get to 23 if you will go south about 3 mile it brings you to Turner Bend store. They have T-shirt and stickers, etc. the route you have to go to jasper is great, but we usually go on up to 74 and then over to jasper. If your hungry when you get to Low Gap, pull in at the cafe. You won’t be sorry! Chefs from CA moved out there and do a great job!

I spend 5 days riding there last summer. Someone here mentioned a Butler motorcycle map. It was perfect. I highly recommend it. All the roads are color coded so it’s easy to filter the best roads. It’s wasnt uncommon not to have phone coverage, so the map was very useful.

Enjoy, it’s a great place to ride.

Great area to ride. Branson is a pain in the neck IMO and for the most part best avoided.

Phone service and high octane gas can be elusive!! Top 'em off and maps, or an idea of where you are going.

Take a ride up to Ozark, MO and have dinner at Lambert's Cafe. Take a ride thru Blue Eye into AR. Hwy 7 from Harrison to Hot Springs is a good ride also. As stated its all good riding .
