Taking in the last five states to have all the lower 48 - MN, ND, SD, NE, KS. Spending a couple of days in Eureka Springs, AR with a bunch of Heritage Springer buds, a couple of days in the Mt Rushmore area, and seeing a few friends along the way. Avoiding interstates where possible.

A lot to see in SD around the Sturgis area. Try to spend a few days there.

You are going to love the Coronado Trail. Take it easy as you ride over the tar snakes as you ride from the Clifton side by the mine. We only saw a few cars and bikes during the whole ride until we reached Hannegans Meadow. Can't wait to do it again.

Looking to head to Santa Fe from Wilmington, NC.
taking 2 weeks. From Santa Fe to Taos area, then on to Durango, CO. Want to check out Red River area and Silverton RR in Colorado. Plan on leaving 1st week in June ... What say the Forum on the departure date? Weather at that time of year in that area? Thanks for your comments .

I saw a post on FB in the last day or two advertising the Brew Train. It looks like the same train but I haven't done any research on it yet.

ETA a quick Google found it! http://www.durangotrain.com/events/d...0#.XA1ZvmhKhPY

Now that sounds like fun! As long as it's at the END of a day of riding.

I'm doing Run For The Wall for the third time. Idaho to southern California, then on to DC, then home through the Chicago area.

If you ride the train to Silverton, pay a little extra to ride the bus back. Great trip. We had a blast. The ride back down takes the same three hours and you see the same thing you saw going up.
