Ride one loop a day. Ride it one way and then back the other direction. Take a soak in the river on the north end. Leave early.

that soak on the river on the n end is awesome----2 hot and cold waters coming together and ya do have to hike 'bout 1/2 mile to get to it

You are almost certain to come upon traffic slowed for bison, most likely right on the road. Be sure you leave plenty of room in front of you and plan an escape path. When he starts coming your way, you want to know where you're going.



Notice the horse trailer in front of me and the solid line of traffic in the oncoming lane. I want to be sure that I let that horse trailer get well beyond the bison before I approach so that I know that I can slowly but steadily (or quickly if necessary) move on past him.

The best ride I found was north out of west Yellowstone on 191, to 90 east and take 89 south at Livingston into the north entrance.

You call that a bison, lol!!! This stud slowed us down last year
