I'm praying it doesn't rain when we go in a few weeks. I doubt we'll be able to reschedule easily.

We are doing the "3 Sisters" over Easter weekend. I've got some ride routes posted on www.hog.com and my user name is Tod P.

You can download from there to your GPS or print -- either way, it is ready for your access and use in the Hill Country.

Ride safe -- and watch out for free-range cattle and the cattle guards on the roadways.

You've chosen an excellent route out of DFW South to the hill country. Hwy 16 is one of my favorite roads in the state. With all this rain the wildflowers will be big time which brings out the cages in mass.

We always stay in Bandera when we ride Hill Country. Plenty of cheap motels and some very good bars. Below is a great guide for riding Hill Country. Check out the 3 sisters. There is a motorcycle bar ( Frio Canyon Motorcycle Stop) in Leaky that sells t shirts. Mine says "I did three twisted sisters"

Just realized, I didn't map out a route for Stonehenge! Any suggestions on the best route from Leakey?

Three Sisters or The Hundred Mile Loop
From Leakey, take Ranch Road 336 North, to Highway 41. Turn left and take 335 South. 335 merges with Highway 55. Continue South until you reach Camp Wood. Take 337 East out of Camp Wood back to Leakey. The total ride is about 95 miles.

The Hunt Loop
From Leakey, take Ranch Road 337, go North on Ranch Road 187 (While on 187 stop and tour the Motorcycle Museum), then turn East on 39 through Hunt (while in Hunt view Stonehenge II on RR 1340) to Kerrville. Take Highway 27 in Hunt back to Kerrville.Take 16 out of Kerrville to Medina. Take 337 West back to Leakey. The total for this ride is about 125 miles. Remember to top off your fuel tank before leaving Leakey and again when passing through Hunt or Kerrville.
Utopia Loop
From Leakey, take Ranch Road 337 to Medina. Go South on 16 into Bandera. Take 470 out of Bandera to Ranch Road 187 and go South into Utopia. Then take 1050 to Highway 83. Go North on 83 to Leakey. This ride is about 100 miles total.

Dublin, you have to stop on the main road at the grocery store and pickup some Dublin Dr. Pepper...

As you get into Llano on 16 you'll hit the light/intersection with HWY 29, Make a right and go down about 1/2 mile and stop at Coopers BBQ on the left. You can park your bikes across the street at abandoned gas station under cover. Just watch your wallet, cause you pick your meat at the pit and then pay inside...So, go inside first and look at prices, then come back out to the pit...

Further down Hwy 16 before Fredicksburg you have to try the Willow City Loop...the bluebonnets are in right now...and there's great little bar/resturant Knot in the Loop, for bikers there.
