Flying out to visit a friend in the navy on Thursday, and looking at renting bikes to run to Vegas.

We don't want to take the highway the whole way. Any good routes you guys would recomend?

I-10 E past Blythe, cross into AZ and take AZ-95 N along the Colorado River to Bullhead City. Cross the bridge to Laughlin, NV and then take NV-163 W to US-95 N towards Boulder City, then US-93 W to Vegas.

 

any way you take to vegas from san diego is kinda sucky, its all flat desert, and not much scenery. 15 N isn't all that nice but there are stops you can make to gas up. In my opinion, I'd get to vegas asap, and then do your riding there, lots of cool places there red rock canyon, ect.

Flat Desert with no scenery? I have a different opinion on it.

Being in Vegas I have riddne this route a few times but I never went all the way to San Diego, just as far as Palomar Mountain.
