That will be a great ride. Had to go to LA two years ago for a conference and I took two extra days to rent a bike from Glendale Harley and take the PCH to Monterrey and back, stopping at the Reagan Museum. A wonderful trip if you can afford an extra couple days.

Be careful crossing Texas. There is a stretch on I10 that doesn't have a gas station for at least 60 miles. I can't remember exactly where it is but there are no warnings...Maybe someone will chime in? I will also say that people in LA drive like idiots...I will NEVER venture in to that state again unless forced by dear old Uncle Sam...

I don't drive like an idiot. LOL

Cool! Interesting your employer will allow this from an insurance viewpoint. None of mine would ever allow me to take company travel on my bikes....liability reasons. Have a blast and if you come through The Land Of Enchantment give me a holler and I'll buy you a beer.

We have a special arrangement, I do things my way or I leave and work for a competitor, as I designed the entire tech platform and have no anti competition clause in any contract it gives me a lot of power.

Hi, I did Route 66 this year and decided I didnt want to ride through that sprawling mess called LA! So looked at the map and saw what I thought looked a good alternative, CA-2 Angeles Crest Highway, what an amazing road, 64 miles of good twisty mountain roads :)

Well worth considering, and you dont go out of your way to ride it :)
