Default Heading to VEGAS

Ok, so I have about 1.5 days of free time from a work excursion at Las Vegas. We are planning on renting a bike, as the casinos really do not excite us.

What are the must see sites? We are planning on doing Hoover Dam, then wanted to head towards California to say we rode there also. Is there a minimum mileage requirement to claim the state?

It looks like it might be cooler, but it was 13 BELOW ZERO here the other AM, so anything above that is warm.

your help is appreciated.

from hoover dam go to kingman az. and pick up the old route 66 to oatman az.. you are not too far from california from oatman, and can easily hit california and get back to vegas by dark.

Head north on I-15 to the Valley of Fire Hwy and make that loop. Not a bad ride. You could always head out to the Extraterrestrial Hwy.

I would definitely recommend Route 66 to Oatman.

Have a good trip.

we have settled on renting over 2 days, it's a 24 hour rental. going to head out on friday afternoon to do the Hoover Dam / Valley of Fire loop. have not decided where yet on saturday AM. Maybe have to get up early and do the Route 66 portion.

~We have heard from several people the they don't ride after dark in that area. is it because of the animals or the cold? or what?
