Mountain Cruiser
I picked up my new Road King a little over a month ago and have put a little over 2,500 miles on it just cruising through the mountains around my house. Here are a few picks I took around the area.

Is that the 2014 edition? How do ya like it? Jamestown HD? I want one some day.
I get to ride that area every summer, we ride down from Calgary and can,t get enough of it. |
Sweet mountain pics.
. . Thanks ..... . |
America does have beautiful countryside and some of it is breath taking I must admit.
Would like to return one day and spend more time looking around the place. |
Great pics - beautiful bike! :D

Nice ride! For a moment there I thought maybe this would be a post crying about how terribly underpowered the bike might be. Judging by the pics you showed, I'm guessing it had no problems totin those hills! Looks like a GREAT riding area.

The bike is a 2014 Road King. I love it. It has plenty of power to pull over these mountain passes. The other day we crossed of the Sierra Nevada Mountains twice. West to East via Sonora Pass and then returned East to West via Tioga Pass. It was a great ride. I saw a coyote near Crane Flat in Yosemite. It was leisurely crossing the road as I approached on my motorcycle and then it moved off into the brush. I got real close to it and got a good look at it. It was a very healthy looking coyote. It was pretty cool.

I was down in your area last summer... Rode back and forth across the Sierra Nevada's on every road that crosses them. It was a great holiday. You live in a good area for biking.
|
quite a scenic rode you have got .. and what a looker, the bike, you ride .. i am loving the both
|
Rode through that area of Cali a couple months ago. I would have to say that California overall probably offers the best riding of any state due to the diversity of terrain and climate. Beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing.
|
Nice pics! Good ya got to ride through before the closed the pass. Around here living with coyotes is a part of life. I'm good with them as long as they don't go after my cats!

I'm hoping to do that this Spring. I just arrived in the Sand Box (Middle East) and will be working here for the next four months. Then we ride..... I miss my bike already. https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...05723296_n.jpg |

Got a little over a hundred miles in today with the OL on the back. I got her some real nice insulated chaps from Fox Creek so she pretty comfortable now and she looks hot in them. We stopped and had a picnic lunch by the Stanislaus River. It was real nice.

Heading your way in June
Hey, nice photos.
Again today, I was spending some time with a map-routing program, setting up day-to-day routes for a 3-week trip this spring with my wife. It's our 25th year of marriage, and this is the trip we decided on for the celebration ride. Our path takes us right through your area, with time to explore Yosemite before moving on up the coast to do some more exploring. Maybe we'll bump into you out there, Mountain Cruiser. All the best, Shane |
