Heated Seat EASY FIX

Heated Seat EASY FIX
I guess you can chalk this one with the joy of buying a used bike....or anything used for that matter.
When I bought this bike , I did expect to have to fix a few bugs, and they were all the typical Harley bugs, which helped me learn about Harleys, being I have owned metrics for quite a few years.
I finally got into why my heated seat would not work. It is a very nice Corbin with the single switch hi / low heat. Of course expecting the worse ( dead heaters), and reading on how Corbin is not the easiest people to deal with, when it comes to repairs.
Of course I had to try to figure out the wiring, on what did what. Found the switch was good, and the heating elements had continuity, so that was a good thing. All that was left was the little module that is unserviceable , being it was a sealed molded box. Again knowing what I read about Corbin, and not selling parts, I figured I would have a nice seat with dummy heat switches.
I started to eyeball all the plugs under the seat, and low and behold something didn't make sense. Why would the only red and black wire be plugged into an adjoining grey and purple wire, and finding another 2 pin hardshell, that the feed from.the bike was plugged in at. I figured there is no way this fix is this simple. Someone over the years, for whatever reason, had the seat off, had more than one plug (2 pin) unplugged, then plugged the power to the WRONG 2 pin hardshell! Luckily is did not burn up the module, since now it all lights up.
So now I'll have a warmer tushy for the cooler rides, in which I am hoping for soon, before the REAL winter kicks in.
Ahh yes , they joys of figuring out what someone else has done......wrong!
