I posted this in the Dyna section but was told to ask here...

I have the opportunity to purchase a low mileage 08 FXDSE2 at a good price. Any problems, issues or areas of concern with these Dynas that I should be aware of? It would be a second bike for around town, cruising, etc... Anything I should know or check with this model before purchase...? I don't want to buy it then say dang I wish I had known x, y & z...

I know for sure that all of the 2007 models had an overheating issue with the rear cylinder, but I seem to remember that some of the 2008 year model did as well, it was depending on the date of manufacture, and the bikes that came out before the final fix for the recall were all effected, BUT on a side note I have the 2007 FXDSE, and have not had any recall work done, mine doesn't seem to have the problem, not yet anyway. My bike is my daily transportation so when they mentioned all of the recalls I did not or could not go with my ride for the time that they wanted to keep it, talked to the service manager at the local dealership and they were back logged and could not promise that even if I had a second method of travel that they could have the recall work done in two - three months.
