How do you stay warm ?
I was just curious what some of the riders from colder regions use for heat. We don’t get the cold here in Houston like everyone else does but cold enough to be uncomfortable at times. The stock heated seat and grips work great. It helps to get Mama on for a ride when she would usually say no way.

Cold weather riding
I hadn't even thought about the Carhart lined jeans. That would help some. There have been mornings when I've put on a pair of long johns, an extra pair of underwear, then another pair of long johns, then my jeans and then the chaps. There's that area that the chaps don't cover...and it can turn things pretty blue if you ain't careful! The top has never been a problem. Long sleeve shirt, short sleeve shirt, short sleeve work shirt, long sleeve sweat shirt, jacket. With enough layers you'll stay warm.
I don't live to far from you SkyClimber, closer to Austin...but I spent 5 years up in Alaska before moving back down here. The only way to stay warm up there is layers!

My hands are where I have the problem, I don't want to give up my ISO grips for heated, and don't like riding with bulky thick gauntlets.
