Looking for some feedback on the CVO rear suspension.
My Street Glide (non CVO) has Progressive 940's rear shocks which I find quite decent and am pretty happy with them. Much better ride quality compared to the stock and easy to adjust.
Anyone with experience with the 940's and the current CVO hydraulic rears?
I am considering trading my bike for a new CVO RGC and wondering if I should put the stock air shocks on my FLHX and keep my 940's for swapping out the CVO's hydraulics.

 

Definitely keep your 940's. Night and day difference from the HD air shocks

 

Yeah but the CVO's have something other than the standard air shocks. That's what I'm wondering about.

 

Even the CVO air shocks are junk. I took mine off my 09 FLTRSE3 and put on the 940's. Wouldn't go back.

 

The CVO's don't have air shocks - they have the HD premium hand adjustable shocks. I have the 13" version on my Streetglide and they are excellent.

 

The 09 FLTRSE3 has air shocks. I put the 940's on. Changed the whole character of the bike.
