Default Will XM from an 09 SG work in a 12 CVO SG?

I'm considering trading my 09 Street Glide on a 12 CVO Street Glide. I don't the the CVO comes with XM. Will the wiring harness and antenna mount from my 09 work in the 12? From what I have read so far, it looks like it might not for some reason. Thanks.

I'm surprised that the new CVO bike would have XM. Is not an option or just the particular when you are seeing? I would check to see what head unit that have in both....if it's the same then you should be able to get it done. Have you checked any aftermarket add-on e.g. hog tunes to see if they make a module?

Here's a discussion on this topic.

Look at the third post down...this person says there is a module available and perhaps it's the same part number as the one you have.

The radios are the same but they left out a wiring harness that you need plus the wiring harness you had to buy with the XM moduel.
I did find enough info on the CVOHarley forum that my dealer did change mine over from my 2009 Street Glide.

I have the HD XM in my 09, and it is the XM module, antenna, small mounting platform for the antenna and a wiring harness. It looks like I have to get some additional wiring. Thanks for the links to the other thread.

They used a wiring harness out of my 2009 Street Glide that the Street Glide's doesn't need.

Exclamation $35,000.00!!!

You're gonna be spending upwards of $35K on this motorcycle!
Tell the dealer you want them to move the XM module from yourold bike to the new one. They'll do it. Trust me, they really want you to buy this CVO especially if you're financing through HD.
Have fun with your new motorcycle!

If it's a dealer that only goes by the book they will not do it. The book says it won't work.

Fits '06-later Touring models (except FLHXSE3) equipped with an Advanced Audio Radio. FLHXSE2 and FLTRXSE models require separate purchase of CVO™ Speaker Expansion Kit P/N 76000275. Requires installation of appropriate Wiring Harness and Antenna Bracket P/N 76456-06 (FLH models) or 76316-06A (FLTR models).

That's why I gave him the info on how to do it.
