Got the left muffs angled a little better.

Also made some vids, but it does the pipes no justice. In person, probably similar to the Paughco 2-2 but at least louder than stock.

Started right up. I am glad the bike is still running well...just had to lower the idle a little.

Are the pipes splayed out or is that just an optical illusion?

That is the closest it can go...it runs along and is attached to the muffler support tubes that is attached to the frame.

FWIW here are a couple of sound clips of the muffs....like I said the vids don't do the pipes any justice. But still music to the ear...

And when I rev'd the motor, this flew out of the exhaust LOL....my permatex high temp gasket maker one from the right side and one on the left. I thought that was rather comical.

Bike came out real nice, I am surprised how much I like the dual exhaust without the bags, looks stock but clean, if that makes sense. Real nice look.

That tank badge with the checker flag I believe is 1969 and down. I do not have that trim piece on my bike, tank is chrome. Stock trim is aluminum I believe.

Just being picky, I would like the tail light housing to be the same silver as the fenders. But with your bike the black does work, but for me I like the housing matching the fender. When i got my bike it had a CHROME housing, hated that thing from day one. I was so happy to get the correct housing painted blue to match. Funny the things we decide to make a thing about. Carry on, looks great.

Just a thought here... you know there is a Spacer in one of the holes for the mount bracket... right... the spacer "can" change the angle of the Mounting bracket, and give ya room either in or out for muffler mounting..

I have the Pauchgo duals with straight fishtails. They line up great. This camera angle is a little funny, but the fit is perfect. Mine is a 76 however.

Maybe it's the alignment of the rear head pipe causing you to be off.

That is absolutely correct. Both sides are supposed to have two 1/4" spacers according to the manual. The mounting on the crossover to the case somewhat dictates the alignment. Initially I had difficulty getting any spacer between the muffler clamp and support tube which is why the angle was off so I removed the muff loosened the bolt on the case and with some difficulty squeezed a 1/2" spacer in there and got the bolt through the support tube which corrected the angle. However my right side had too much space so I added a 1/4" spacer to the 1/2" that was already in there. It now looks more symmetrical so I am good with it.
