LOL ! yah thats the German standard ! really Sh*ty looking ! there are smaller ones about the same size as the American plates but only for bikes before1953 i think ! some stupid rule /regulation , they look even worse for those with tage brackets like the Sportster' And FXE's with the plate above the tail light, most guys put on a side mount plate so it dose not mess up the rear view of the bike. at the DMV i tried to get a smaller one, i took a photo of my bracket with no plate mounted & the size but they still denied it !

Wow, I guess I learn something new evey day. I thought that it was some sort of reverse thrust air brake system to slow ya down so that ya don't over shoot the gas station comming off of the Auto Bahn.

Hello shovhd, haven't heard from you in a while ,hows your build coming along ? any photos you can share ? My build is done for the most part ,(are they really ever done) i have a few things to go over this winter like the exhaust recoated & i am not happy with the way my carb. is working & would like to replace the shifter bushing on the forward controls. a few weeks ago my new clutch cable failed, put the old original one back on, FIXED ! lol any way i am going to put her away for the winter soon , put just under 1000 miles on her so far & 2 oil changes. anyway thats whats been going on with me, hope to hear from you , take care Troy.
