They used to call that the 45 Magnum kit, fitting ironhead sportster heads and jugs to a 45 bottom end. Lots of high performance stuff out there for 45's, you can make them go fast, just costs money. In stock form a 45 will just keep going and going. Make them go fast at your own peril............

Sort of like the old Trock "X Head"
Ronnie and I even put one together for the Track... Neat looking, but, Not necessarily Better on the Track..
We used two Rear Heads... the front one Turned around... as Originally conceptualized by Ron!!!
A Half Assed Picture of the Rear sitting on the Front... kinda poor Pictorial. but... All I gots... we abandoned the Concept to become the first stock displacement Harley in the 9's...[On Gas]
Didn't make it... was the third... But, The only Pre EVO....
