Glad you got them, I hope your happy. For me its the

small details that make a good restoration. Check out

the 1981 FXG subguy restored. Perfect, it gives me

incentive to keep improving my 1980.

Crip and JohnB,

I am having a bi**h of a time finding decals and badges for my 1983 FXDG Disc Glide. It was a limited run (750 made) 80th Anniversary Special Edition Wide Glide. I would really appreciate you getting me in touch with your source to see if he can help.

Thanks,
Bruce

Beautiful bike, Crip

Thank you.

I love the way the Shovel looks all blacked out like the DG and Sturgis models. BTW, if I rememmber the FXB came with black pipes. So, do you get the "Nice bike, is that a Night Train?" I get it all the time.

I'll let you know what happens and I'll post pics as the bike progresses in the gallery under 1983 FXDG Disc Glide.

Shovels Rule!

I like the red and black contrast looks good. I assume Crip has sent

you the address for decals. If they can't supply them email me & I

will send you another site. Yes please, send some pictures as you

progress. Good luck with your project.

Thanks for compliment John. I'mdiggin your FX too, love the original Ham Can. Yes, Crip sent me the info. I e-mailed the guy like 5 minutes ago. Send/post anything you got, dude, I'll be glad for any help.

I'll post up progress reports right here in the Shovelhead forum.

Good job lookin out for fellow shovel devotees.

You guys Rock

Funny aside: See that brand new rear disc. I got that from an HD dealership. Came in a box marked "Geniune HD Replacement" or somethin. Stamped on the disc, big as you please, is "Made in Japan"!!Now ain't that a Bi**h.

Default RE: Sturgis tank decals? Attn JohnB & Crip

OK Crip, looks like I've hijacked your thread. Hope you don't mind. The contact you gave me responded right away. He already has my decals and found the part number for the rear medallion. Since hehasn't foundan actual medallion yet, he sent me the part # for it so I could look on my own.

A place called Team Latus Harleu Davidson in Oregon shows one in their online catalog. I'm calling in the AM to see if they actaully have one in stock. The Price is $11.00. Wish me luck.

hey, I don't mind at all. Glad he could help, he sure helped me (thanks again JohnB445). I was away when my decals showed but I've had a chance to check them out now and they look great.
Don't be surprised at the number of "made in Japan" parts you'll find on your bike. There'll be a LOT of them. Better than Taiwan or China.
