On my way to Daytona from Long Island, March 7th:

The snow got bad after this!!!!!! Drove the first 200 miles with the 4x4 turned on. Sunshine at the other end, but it was a rough evening.

PS if you are ever in this situation with road salt, take the seat off and put it in the truck.

Red face Nice looking scooter

I've got a 72 FLH. Liking that paint job, minus all the snow! LOL. My scoot's looking a new paint job next winter. May have to use yours as the pattern for the paint man. Got any pics minus the snow?

Those are original paint 1970 tanks, only the black "sticker" is reproduction. I do have better pics, just not with me. But if you do Google Images for 1970 FLH a bunch will come up with all the different color combos for that year. Good luck.

Tarp is bad, very bad. It will slap around on your paint and chrome and really ruin your trip. Unless you have about 50 bungees and can get it tight to the bike so it doesn't move.

Wind + tarp + 75 MPH for 16 hours = New paint job

now that's rare ! assuming those are original parts . pretty sure there are a lot more of those tail sections in landfill sites than there are hidden away in garages and barns .

Funny you said that...this is my license plate. This bike is the best motorcycle investment I’ve ever made. I bought it for “four digits” and one recently sold at Mecum for $33,000 + 10% buyers premium.
