With the tanks off makes the seat look a bit off but, it’s probably fine. As long as it’s fastened to the front mounting point I’d say your good. If I remember correctly it’s a pivot point pin to frame connection near the front of the seat. I could be wrong though. The seat bottom back rides on the hydraulic shock.

It may be titled as an 81 FXS, but that's about it. Otherwise, it's a good lookin scoot.

One of my brothers found this old picture of my first FXR. I bought it as a basket case from a guy who powder coated the frame and swingarm, so I had to work with that color. My brother did the graphics, rock texture was popular in the 90's.
