I'm looking to put highway pegs on my FXS. I don't have an engine guard on it... I read on the net that I may be able to put on a mustache bar. I'm a pretty tall guy (6'3") so they would be pretty far up front. Any recommendations?
Because of the age of Shovelheads you may be limited on what you can find. V-Twin has a bar that may be what you are looking for. Its on page 576 of their online catalog. http://www.vtwinmfg.com/Catalog1/VTwinCatalogIndex1.htm. I believe the difference between the 65-78 and 79-84 model is the master cylinder. I see in your photo you are running a FLH style forward control and it appears to be wagner style MC so that would be the earlier version. Your shifter bracket has to be the FLH style also.

You already have forward controls but still want to stretch more? You can get used crash bars on Ebay, just look for 72-84 FLH bar it'll bolt right on. My FXS still has the factory highway pegs.
