Like some of the other new members I am a long time rider first time Harley owner. I have owned a number of sport bikes and metric cruisers over the years but I always thought there was something cool about a bike with a springer front end.
I started looking a couple of months ago for a Crossbones and after a few deposits that turned into disappointments I found one about 6 hours away.
The bike was a good deal at an asking price of $10,000 and had only 9500 miles on it but it was extremely dirty. The guy lived out in the country down a 6 mile road that was not paved. With a little negotiation I bought it and rented a trailer to do the 12 hour round trip to pick it up

For $25 per day this U-Haul trailer was awesome.
Here is what it looked like when I first saw it. After a good once over I decided that a good cleaning and a swap out of the parts was all it needed
After being home for a couple of days I was able to return it to mostly the stock look. Fortunately the previous owner had kept all the stock parts as I prefer the look of the retro saddle
