Default Battery tender relocation

Just wondering if anyone has some good ideas where to put the plug on the exhaust side of a 2014 street glide so that it melt from the heat. Thanks

I stuck a cable guide to the inside of the side cover. All I have to do to plug in is just reach behind the cover with two fingers and pull the wire out. It was the easiest thing I found to keep it from falling onto the exhaust.

I brought it out just above the oil jug. The power cord is long enough to drape over the front peg and air cleaner to keep it off the exhaust.

Bought a powerlet, and mounted it on a chrome inspection plate. I can't take credit for this idea, I saw it here on the forum.

No matter where you end up with the charging plug, you do need to secure the harness which is long per the owners manual.I didn't and always popped side cover loose at bottom and pulled plug out and when I was done just pushed harness back up into side cover until one day I noticed sparks from behind cover and found drive belt had cut into harness. When I would push harness back up into cover it would end up looping over drive belt. Lesson learned.

Mine is between the saddlebag and the passenger seat. No more bending over.
