Ok, I talked with the guy that is selling the bike and ask about the recalls. He bought the bike, September of 2014 said when he took it back in for the 1000 mile check up. He thought the recalls were taken care of
I have the vin number. I should be able to call Harley and find out if they were taken care of
not?

Go on the HD website under "owners", "recall information" and enter the VIN.
Thanks, The cooler engine & linked brakes would be the only reasons to upgrade from my 07 Ultra. Afraid to test ride one, probably have to bring it home with me.
27000kms on my 14 FLHTK with stage 1 upgrade that I bought new in 2015. Great bike that runs significantly cooler than my previous 2012 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager. Like Farmboy555 says, the linked ABS are great! Saved me from 2 soccer moms turning left in front of me a month ago. Now I have the HD fog lights on the crash bars and dual Rivco air horns. Look and sound like a freight train coming down the tracks!
Looks like there is 1 open recall " saddlebag clips" recall campaign number: 15v-427
There are 2 recalls closed. So I figure they have been taken care of since they say closed.
They were hydraulic clutch system, may develop tear in the primarycup (seal) on the master cylinder piston. Recall number 14v-537
The closed recall 15v-216 hydraulic clutch system may lose the ability to generate enough lift to disengage the clutch after being parked for an extend period of time.
If the saddlebag clips are the only thing left to get fixed. That should be a quick easy fix.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the saddlebag clips. Buy some "Bagger Bolts" and be done with it. "Bagger Bolts" are a brand name but a few sources put them together or you can put together all the parts you need from Lowes or Home Depot.
If you do get the saddlebag clips recall done it should take less than 30 minutes. And yes I had it done although many people use "bagger Bolts" or some thing similar to them.
Ive had zero issues with mine. Its had the recalls, but mine has never had an issue thats shut it down. Just make sure all the recalls have been done as mentioned above. As always, the small handful of bikes affected (which you hear about more than the thousands with NO issues) make it seem like more of a problem than it is/was.
Coolant tank filler neck leak/loosing pressure
Clutch basket (they put a wrong bolt in a handful of the bikes in the clutch mechanism)
Clutch master cyl (bad o-rings or such)
Wire loom retainer under gas tank (wires could work out of the channel and chafe)
Gas tank mount. (something about the way it was mounted at the front. As i recall, possible fire risk of the mount puncturing the tank in a crash)
Ive loved mine. Has given me no issues. Mine was one of the bikes ridden from Denver to Salt Lake City after the dealer meeting when they were released that year. As such, a very early production bike. To me, the heat reduction makes the difference in having lowers on year round, vs taking them off in the summer. Also less heat on the passengers feet by far compared to the air only cooled models.
I have no regrets buying a first year design. Any issues that came up, Harley took care of. My only gripe is that you cannot adjust the clutch engagement point (at what point of the lever release it starts to grab) like you can a cable clutch. Flip side, no clutch adjustment or maintenance other than flush/bleed the fluid at specified intervals.
what seat do you have on that bike? Doesn't look like the stocker.
BTW - ditto on my bike. Nearly 16K on the odometer.
I have over 75K on my 2014 Limited that I purchased new on 6/10/2014. I have had next to no issues whatsoever outside of normal wear and tear items (brakes, tires, etc), except for the following:
1. Around 40K, needed front wheel bearings
2. Baffle came loose on right SE Street Cannon slip-on
3. Clutch burned up at 70K (pretty good if you ask me, but ESP replaced it anyway )
Upgrades are minimal:
1. Cup holders for rider & passenger
2. Slip-ons
3. Black exhaust shields
4. HD premium fork cartridge
5. Ohlins rear shocks
6. CD front turn signals
7. Bright *** rear tail light
8. Saddle bag lights
9. Freedom Shields windshield
10. Windshield trim
11. Windshield bag
12. Passenger grab rails
My gripes:
1. Need a Corbin seat.
2. Need to decat
3. Uphill, downhill, against the wind, with the wind, it just won't go over 115 MPH. LOL
Best bike ever, love it!!!
