I think you're just blowin smoke up our azzes as usual.
I think you're right again Greg

Not to mention service work is useless to me, I don't let people work on my bie, unless it is warranty.
You're first mistake is using the word demand.
It's why you'll get nowhere...

There are ways to ask for things. ASK.
Yes, they are making it right so far.

Girl's Jeep, month old, radio went out. Jeep dealer had it a month. literally went out the day after she made her first payment.
Gave her a loaner, a very nice loaner.
Asked what they could do to make her happy, I told them make a payment.
They refunded her first payment.

Nowhere did I make demands, get loud, kick or scream.
I asked, nicely.

That's all I'm saying.

Should also note they're bringing in the local rep for the OP to talk to him along with the dealer service manager.
In other words, someone up the food chain higher. Just ask...nothing to lose.

Gotcha now.

Bad luck it seems, probably just human error.

I believe the OP said he had the bike for 2 weeks and had 390 miles on the clock. The warranty states that Harley is only legally liable to fix or replace the defective part, and that any inconvenience or loss of the use of the bike isn't their problem. I hope they treat him right. I had a salesman explain to me one time, that the front of the contract I was about to sign was what they will do FOR me, and the back was what they will do TO me.

It's hard to ask you favors while you are dealing with this BS, but a pic would be great. For the rest of that aren't dealing with this personally, but are very interested in the cause and outcome, a pic would help. I'd like if determine if this this was a freak one time occurrence, or if the rest of us with M8 engine have an area we need to keep an eye on.

Thanks for starting this thread. First year owners need to stick together.

I found this picture, don't know if you are talking about where the stud is on the right side rear on the motor. I circled the area in the top picture. You had mentioned right side of motor to the rear of the floorboard.
