That front fender issue realy has me considering powder coating the trees, sliders, fender, and caps vivid/wet black. if i cant find a dog bone to raise the fender, then it's going to the fab guy, who will ruin the paint in making the adjustments. if i coat the fender to replace the ruined paint, i might as well go ahead and coat the front. i hate polishing the trees anyway.
are the 2011+ xl1200c trees chrome or polished? i honestly cant tell.
It will be interesting to see how the fender fits...
If it doesn't "work", it will be close and some adjustments might be able to be made at the mounting holes.
If you can believe Michelin and Dunlop, it should work out or again, be very close.
According the them, the Michelin "Scorcher 31" 130/90B16 Used on the 2011-later "Custom" and the Dunlop GT502F 120/70R19 basically have the same Overall Diameter

Not to hijack the thread, but I've got a different issue.
I've been trying to find out overall height dimension to determine
if a front tire swap is feasible. I'm looking at Pirelli Night Dragon front
'150/80B16 71H TL' as a replacement for a MT90B16.

Any insight on this?
thanks!

Well, just using math for "sizing" would result in...
But Dunlop publishes most of their tire specs. So the D402 on the front of your "Slim" is listed as...
D402 MT90B16 = 25.30" Diameter / 5.20" Wide ... pretty close to calculated
