It does! You can't tell, it but that bike hasn't been washed in well over a month. I ride in all weather as well. I rode through an area under a tornado warning with heavy thunder storms yesterday afternoon. The bikes looks virtually the same with the exception of a few more water spots.

I used a metallic silver base coat. It was just some rustoleum that I had laying around. Nothing fancy at all. I almost went with black.
