It does! You can't tell, it but that bike hasn't been washed in well over a month. I ride in all weather as well. I rode through an area under a tornado warning with heavy thunder storms yesterday afternoon. The bikes looks virtually the same with the exception of a few more water spots.

 

Started my first flake attempt today. So far it's ok.

You went a long way for a Dyna Custom.

 

It looks good, but I have a lot of orange peel to take care of. I used cheap clear so I expected it somewhat. It's a learning experience.

 

It's all good though. I love to tinker with stuff during my downtime. It's been fun.

 

Nice, as I understand it flake is about the hardest thing in the world to paint, what was your base color? I have been following your thread, you're a brave man to go this look, I really like your results and bonus points for doing it yourself .

I used a metallic silver base coat. It was just some rustoleum that I had laying around. Nothing fancy at all. I almost went with black.

Love that silver color. Very nicely done LR and you get to live in GA. Wish I lived further south.
