Highway peg mounts made of aluminum bar stock; put pegs exactly where I wanted them and lost a couple of pounds on my FXDXT project.
Also, the see-thru cam cover made from industrial engine oil level controller...long before RSD

Good idea posting that up! I love using those couplings as stand-offs when I need to make some room for clearance like when mounting my obsolete gauge cluster behind the windshield where it wasn't intended to fit.

That is VERY cool. Is it from scratch, or modified stock cover ?

Default Three simple mods

One I call the fender buckle mod which is just cutting the tabs off any belt buckle and putting doulble face tape on it . And placing it on your front or rear fender .
The next is just turning the garage ceiling fan into a Harley fan with some swap meet things .
And the third is using the timing cover plate from a sportster to make a front mud flap .
Just 3 little fun things I made and showed to keep this thread going .

Not on the same calibre as anything here but I lost the tab on the frame that holds the spring on my kickstand. So I tapped that screw in to replace the tab.

Current ride; 1 1/4" Hollywood bars made from SS fat bars with 1/2" SS tbg bent around a 45gal drum, then coped and welded on. All wiring for turnsignal mirrors and grip heaters internal. Tough to finish SS, I might add...hard to file smooth and paint don't want to stick. Bought SS files and self etching primer
Also in pic is black pipe "centre stand"; should be self explanatory. There is a piece of plastic pipe slid over the part that contacts frame and I brake cleaned the threads and applied JB Weld before final assembly. The bike has an engine guard made from a swap meet piece, narrowed 6" and rolled back with new mounts to bottom frame mounts, then powdercoated.
The windshield was lowered on the mounting frame and vintage miniature travel stickers used to cover the epoxy filled former mounting holes.
Not visible but nice; put a oillite bronze bushing in jiffy stand swivel block. Smoooth stand action now...
Also note the 110 Anniversary badge, eBay score. Dremel the banner off the top; nerve wracking but I like the look. Almost a new model for HD, eh?

Stuff to do in the garage on poor riding days...

I posted this in the save $$ thread, but thought it might fit here. not rocket science but...

Made a cover for my cb antenna post out of a computer chair wheel. Cut off plastic tip, drilled out and tapped, screwed on the cb post. Looks like a very short antenna.
