The cardboard is a must! I actually used the big box my Hammers came in. It's a Virgo thing.

This whole build cvaria has me wanting to break out the torque wrench for sure!

Does the "L" "M" and "S" stand for long medium and short?

I did this as well when I removed my cover.
I also drew an outline diagram of the cover as well as putting the measurements 1", 2", etc... at each location.
I was sure I'd drop the cardboard and all the bolts would come out so I went full OCD on it.

......and you're right, the oil never seems to stop dripping out.

yes sir, long, medium, short.... i did that in case of dropping and because i was swapping the screws to the new ones. The old screws had been in the card board since i removed the cover. I put them there in place as i was removing them so i didnt mix them up. Glad i did... i dont see anything saying which screw goes where goes where.

i did the same for all the hardware. Im not reusing any of the old stuff outside of the studs... they wouldn't budge. Sort of glad they didnt.

Btw, the women use that system too

Also after you made up an Engine "set" of cardboard holders, you could ebay those as "tools", of course if you're not keeping them

.
