Driving home would be 30miles but the fuel light put me off trying without filling up

When it starts spitting and sputtering,..I'd say you have about 2 miles to go. I haven't pushed it so far that I ran out of fuel but have rolled into the gas station on fumes.
Proberly didn't word the last post rightly
If my tank has 2.7 uk gallons and I use 5.99 litres when the light comes on should I have
6.1 litres left ?
If so why is the light coming on when less than 1/2 full

so you go get gas... ever push a bike up a hill or a highway?
I have a 2016 Iron 883 and usually get at least 90-100 miles till the light comes on then I always fill up with about 2.0-2.2 Gallons...
The most I rode with the light on was 105 miles total after filling up and not sure if I felt her sputtering or it was just me worried about the running out of gas.

I just converted my 2016 Iron to a 1200, replaced the diaphragm spring but noticed little to no difference pulling in the clutch handle. Pretty pleased with how it all turned out.
That is one pretty bike. That's one of the main reasons I love my Sporty. I consider it rolling art work for the eyes and the ears. On top of that it's more fun than a barrel of monkeys to ride.
