When it starts spitting and sputtering,..I'd say you have about 2 miles to go. I haven't pushed it so far that I ran out of fuel but have rolled into the gas station on fumes.

My 03 883R. It will have to be pried from my cold dead hands. SE intake and SE II mufflers with the carb jetted just right for them. A very good runner.

I have a 2016 Iron 883 and usually get at least 90-100 miles till the light comes on then I always fill up with about 2.0-2.2 Gallons...

The most I rode with the light on was 105 miles total after filling up and not sure if I felt her sputtering or it was just me worried about the running out of gas.

Wonder how many folks that do the 883 to 1200/1250/1275 conversion actually swap out the clutch spring.
I just converted my 2016 Iron to a 1200, replaced the diaphragm spring but noticed little to no difference pulling in the clutch handle. Pretty pleased with how it all turned out.

That is one pretty bike. That's one of the main reasons I love my Sporty. I consider it rolling art work for the eyes and the ears. On top of that it's more fun than a barrel of monkeys to ride.
