Default No Tach drives me crazy

I didn't realize how much I look at a tach, until I don't have one.

What tach do you guys run, or do you not run them?

What is the favorite tach around here? Does someone make a quality tach/speedo combo???

Never missed the tach on mine. I shift up when my eyeballs start to rattle. Seriously, time in the saddle will tell you whether the motor is happy or you need to shift.

I hear ya... my Fatboy didn't have one, but the Fugly did. I guess I just got used to it.

Just thinking out-loud I guess.

I have to have one too. My last bike didn't have one, and I added one that took the place of the riser top clamp. Looked like it was always there.

My new Heritage has a gear/rpm readout that can be selected to display in the odometer. After spending the last 20,000 miles on a Road Glide I thought it would come in handy. I used it the first few days but now I mostly just display the clock. I found I really don't need it. The bike let's me know when it wants me to shift.
