Installed Progressive monotube fork kit. HUGE difference. Next week, I'll install the Ness Big Brake kit on the bike and see if it will help the front brake any.

Congrats on the scoot purchase. The Road King is to me, the best touring frame bike MoCo makes. Enjoy the new bike, as it rides much like a Dyna, but with a more "long road ahead" touring feel. tomp dd50

Dropped, the de-baffled stock exhaust for a set of V&H. Sound much better.

Default Installed my new fairing

I spent a couple of hours and installed a Phil Birch fairing, easy and definitely cuts down on the turbulence.

I got two lessons on my 200+mile ride yesterday on my stock 08 FXDL. 1) must remember sun block 2) and I've got to get forwards or at least highway pegs to stretch out. I'm only 5'7" but damn leg cramp got me bad halfway through the ride.

good to be able to switch positions. you may get the same feeling if you only had forwards. you might want to unstretch. i spend most of my time on the highway with my feet on the mids. reverse highway pegs i guess

You're spot on. Something to simply switch leg positions would be very helpful.

I have had forwards, forwards with mid pegs, and footboards. the footboard set up was the best for my comfort by far.
