Default Apes?

Looking for 12inch meathook apes. Really dont wanna spend 400 for a set of yaffes. Where can i get them cheaper with as good or better build quality? Any other brands as good that are cheaper?
i got my bike tore down in my garage waiting on a set. I took it apart to determine what all i need and see how hard it was gonna be since its cold outside. I think i can handle this job just fine. Now just need to find the bars i want.

KST bars are good quality and very reasonably priced. I have the black 12" and love them.

I won't say one is worse or better . Just make sure when you set them do it for long distance riding and if you use a back rest make sure you set them so you can lean back
and reach everything easy and relaxed.

I did my own bars went with Wild 1s Wo502 which are 12.5" I used the Harley wire kit #69200034. Even though it says Softail models it will still work and the kit was plug and play, no splicing and all wires were same color code.

+1 on Wild 1’s! I bought their 12.5” apes for a 2008 SG. Transferred them to my 2014 SG and now they’re going on my 2018 SGS! Best bike investment I’ve ever made. Gives the bike a lighter feeling in the front end - almost like going to power steering! 12-14” - you can’t go wrong!

I have the 10” chrome Meathook apes on my Limited. Installed them myself after watching a couple of YouTube videos, not hard if you take your time. No extensions needed for anything. Bought mine off of Amazon for a little over “half” of what Monkey bars cost.

These bars are quality made and the chrome is flawless. I would buy them again. I’ve seen these for sale on eBay too.
