I was hit head-on in early august by an idiot, who according to LE was not drinking, (alcohol). The guy came across a double yellow, my eastbound left lane & hit me head-on in the E bound right. 11:00 pm on a wednesday night. No traffic. Coming home from watching the baby girl as usual.
I flew over the offending vehicle. I was doing 35 mph. Don't know what he was doin'. My skid mark was 31'. He had none. The cops & ambulance guys were awesome btw. The cop who stayed with me said, after the initial investigation, that there was no way I could have avoided the collision.
I had all lights; head, passing & running on. Totaled my beloved '06 Heritage. If he wasn't drinkin', ya gotta wonder wtf. (The offending driver was driving under suspension & it was not his car.) The Good Lord was definitely with me on this occasion. I got the Police photos & if I can figure out how to post them I will do so at a later date. I'm gettin' too old for this bouncing off the street bullshit.
