my search ended with this. she is not orginal--but not far away. 7400 orginal miles, she has a built EVO in her. !st owner had her built then got scared of her. She was a garage queen for 28 years. The FUN!!!!!! Begins
So by"built" you must continue with the details .. thanks you..... I like the paint... Very nice...
UM ok here we go--and I know you guys are going to roll your eyes at this one. I am owner #3. The original owner was the one that had the motor built. He traded it to a friend that is a boat mechanic. Said boat Mechanic rode it twice and all his buddies sold thier bikes. He owned it for a year. !st owner told second owner he had it bored and blue printed by a bike shop in Naples Fl. Said the final result was a 107CI evo. Can I verify this? No. But I have owned enough and rode enough bikes to know this is no where close to stock. Its really close to being a candidate for compression release. And I keep finding high perfomance parts such as.
the coil
high performanc ignition modual with electronic timimg advance and 6700 rev limiter
its got a screamin eagle breather and I'm not sure on the Carb but I dont think its HD. All I know is between 4500 and 6000 rpm I have to shift as fast as I can. What is it? I really do not know how to tell with out tearing her down. Am tempted to have her dynoed. I want to change the fluids in all three holes one more time befoe I even find out where the rev limiter is set. Its showing 7500 miles on the speedo, what came out of her as far as fluids looked a little , well they looked fricking ancient. Yes I did the clean the sump with some extra oil, but I want to do em all one more time before I really find out what she will do.
also you will notice in the first pick---no belt, 7500 miles and they switched it bsck to a ghisn drive system. Local Harley dealer serv manager told me alot a built evos in the early days had problems snapping the belts. Also has adjustable 2 piece lifter tubes, some body did something in there. The Vin on the motor matches the frame too by the way. Tony you have no idea how badly I would love to able to rattle off what all has been done to her. I simply do not know. That is kind of a bummer for me. All my knowledgable buds that have heard her run have said, Yep, thats built with somthin!

Reason: to sat TONY real nice ride by the way!!!!!
It was actually a different color, the paint has faded a bunch over the years. Here is a pick of what the red looks like under the chrome strap on the tank. I do wonder if there is anyway to get this color back? But this paint has been on the bike for a vefry long time
Red is maybe the most unstable color. The is no way to undo that damage from the sun. With that few of miles the bike was probably parked outside a lot.
Actually, It's not bad, and to quote our friend 0maha, "I like a bike with a little patina."
Reds are mostly achieved by using pigments, which are not very stable, hence they fade over the years. By contrast deep yellow (like Buttercup the Buell) is often known as 'chrome yellow', because it is made of a very stable chromium compound. If it's any consolation I bought my 1990 Glide new in HiFi Candy Blue and reckoned that as new no two panels actually matched! So your red bike looks just fine.....
I hyjacked this OP's thread---srry man--last post on here. But I thought I would show her after my sore fingers and my arms about to fall off. She looks ok gusied up? I gotta learn how to resize pics.
