Ive been following this thread for a little while. Bike is gonna be way better than new. Great tribute to your dad. I love love the panel paint job and the inner fairing paint!
Thanks everyone for the well wishes and encouraging words. With a 50hr a week job and a 40 minutes ride to work on my bike, it has definitely been a long build. But I wouldn’t change a thing so far. Here are some spacers I had to make to work with the RC spacers (the smt wheels require different larger than stock spacers up front) .050” on the left side of the wheel and .125” on the right side. I made a extra .060” spacer just Incase the .050” wasn’t right
I want to add that for my Ohlin's suspension components, i used the forum vendor sponsor, Fuel Moto. I wish i remembered names but the techs were very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to purchasing my shocks and cartridges. I also received two phone calls during the process filling me in on ship times as the install kit was being shipped over from Sweden. Thanks Fuel Moto.
Here is a sneak peak at my gauges i sent to Eyezon Gauges. Rod was super to deal with. Got my proofs over when he said he would. Can't wait to show them off.
Finished product on the front fender. We decided on not going with a design due to the paint just being too busy and keeping it simple'ish. Haha Working on the bike tomorrow. Hoping to get the inner primary and electric laid out.
wow, time flys when you are busy. I definitely dragged my feet on this project but am really starting to get some momentum. My dead line to get the bike ready to ride is the 20th and will be going to Infocus Audio for a new head unit, speakers, and amp. I am hoping to get a few hundred miles on it before we head to Americade. I will be posting up some videos my youtube channel as well, so if you are the subscribing type, check it out.
Here is a time lapse video of me wiring and soldering up a Namz universal wire extension kit
