we don't block VPNs but your free VPN is routing traffic through places that we do block for legitimate security reasons.

Another forum where I was a mod/admin was originally set up by a friend of mine who travels worldwide as a cyber security expert, and that site has never blocked entry while running a VPN. HDForums is singularly the only site that ever blocks my entry while running Nord VPN and it is consistent, doesn’t matter where my IP is that day.

It just take two extra clicks to pause the Nord VPN, but then it’s paused for everything else I navigate to for that time frame.

Just seems odd that this site is the only site. Doesn’t happen anywhere else, ever.

@Robb M. I think you should reconsider this answer. The VPN I use (NordVPN) is among the most widely used and respected, and is not free. Many other people are experiencing this problem, and not all of them are using a free VPN or Nord. So please consider actually fixing the problem.

I'm using a paid VPN ExpressVPN here with no blocking here but at other sites it will get me blocked until I turn it off. A pita but the tradeoff still worth it to me. Doesn't happen often. I Also use Duck Duck Go browser .

We can not and will not support VPN access. That is a decision which is made way above my head.

There are other HD sites that are owned by large media companies that don’t block VPNs.
