What type of sunblock do you use? I hate the residue most of them leave - especially when in gets all over the tour pack backrest.

Cover up. I know it sucks when the temps are brutal, but that really is the only way to minimize melanoma via exposure.

I always wear a mesh jacket, but use Ocean Potion SPF50 on my face and neck. Just ordered 2 more bottles of it this morning.

I wear a mesh jacket, and use 'Ocean Potion Dab-On Spot Stick' for my face, neck and ears. It's just the right size to put in the windshield bag.

Hawaiian Tropic. No real reason, I just like the way it smells.

I use Neutrogena Ultra sheer Spray SPF 100. My daughter calls it our Vampire juice. We both have very fair skin. I never burn with this stuff.

I am a melanoma survivor (so far) and also use (and swear by) the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer 100+, but I use the lotion, not the spray. It is thick and does smear onto bags etc. Sorry about that. But as someone who's not even supposed to be outside, I can swear that it works. (I've used it in the Caribbean in tropical sun.) I put it on before I go out and have not found it necessary to reapply during the day.

I primarily rely on it for my face and neck. When I am riding without a jacket, I wear sleeves from Coolibar. http://www.coolibar.com/product/Mens...c/0/155703.uts. When I go inside for lunch etc. I just peel the sleeves off. When I am outside, they are actually much cooler than having exposed skin. I'm wearing white ones in my profile picture.

I swear by Bullfrog SPF 36 Marathon Mist. https://www.ebay.com/i/142278795493?chn=ps&dispItem=1

I can't tell you how about residue as I put it on once when getting dressed (in the house or tent if I'm camping), before I put my shirt on, so I can make sure to cover past what skin will be in the sun. It lasts all day with no need to re-apply.

Bullfrog. Good enough for surfers, good enough for me (ex surfer anyway). Highest spf you can get. There are a variety of types now. Spray is least uncomfortable but I like the old fashioned stuff because it's tried and true. And I absolutely hate putting it on but it's forgotten in 3 minutes.
