Default He blamed me, and he knocked me unconscious!

Rode to and from New Orleans Wednesday. Stops in NO; at an outlet mall for lunch and Baton Rouge for work. Stopped on the way home to get out of a rain storm 15 miles from home. And that's all I remember.

Woke up at Lafayette General Hospital (very nice nurses and staff. Thank you.) Family eventually was laughing at me repeating the same series of questions in the same order every 3 minutes about 30 times. Cop told my son I was incoherent at the scene. Brother said I looked at him funny and told him: "I don't have a Road King." See below.

Guy that ran the red light 5 MILES FROM MY HOUSE (after I'd been 250 during the day) blamed me. THREE eye witnesses told the cop I was NOT at fault. I will find them and thank them personally.

ATGATT protected me from far worse injuries. It was 1000 degrees outside, but Airbag jacket kept me from hyperextending my neck. Neck is sore; but it's not broken. FF helmet has an impact mark on the back. Half helmet would not have covered the impact zone and my TBI would have been worse; possibly a coma. No road rash, but I may have landed in the median. Still don't know all the facts.

Anyway, thanks to the cops; the nurses; my family, Shoei and HIT Airbag. Be careful out there.

Glad that you will be O.K.
Keep us posted on how this goes.

Assume that the bike is totaled?
You may have been right, you may not have a Road King.
Hoping for the best for you.

Thanks. Bike probably won't be totaled, but I won't know until next week. I know I wasn't...

Glad to hear you're okay. But from your title, it sounds like the hit you with his fist..."he knocked me". Anyway...

What happened to him, besides blaming you for his inability to want to stop at a light?

Accident report isn't out yet. I'm pretty sure he was ticketed. No clue what he was driving. I have plenty of UM coverage.
