Default Easy way to clean engine fins?

Anyone know of a simple way to keep the edges of these engine fins clean and polished looking? I can only imagine getting polish all over the black edges and making matters even worse!

Easy way to clean engine fins?
Your title said Easy...I immediately thought...have someone else do it.

Simple (but not easy or fast) is to use a cleaner, brush or fine wet dry sand paper (or a steady hand with a dremel) along the edges (I've used an emory fingernail board in tight spots), and anything that might get on the black edges can be dealt with, with a toothbrush and S100 Engine Brightener...stuff works really well at making the black like new. Many prefer Pig Spit.

I always use fine Emory cloth and S-100 engine brightened with good results.

Anything a bit rough will clean them up, wire wool some people use scotch brite pads, just be careful you don't take the paint off the fins as well.

That's what I was afraid of, no easy way lol. And kebo I don't understand, is this your way of sarcasm or do you actually have some revolutionary new way?

No sarcasm at all.. I used S100 engine brite. Apply liberally then wipe the fins with an old school cloth diaper. It wont scratch the fins, it absorbs the excess and is lint free..

Not being an a-hole here.. I'll send a pic of my stash..

Well my fins are still rather new looking now, I don't want to start grinding with 80 grit or nail files, I just want to keep them looking like they are now, lol. I like Kebo's idea, is S100 the same as PigSpit? If so I'll give it a try, thanks all!
