chasing evo parts to get my old 92 back on the road safely. Unfortunately in this country the big players only have to keep parts for 10 years.

Im currently buying what I can from j&p but am sure I'm missing out on better stuff.. Thanks all.

Do your shops have access to Drag Specialties, Biker's Choice or MidUSA catalogs?

Alternatively you can have someone in the states buy and send you a part if Harley still carries it.

I find a lot of my stuff on eBay. I might have to look for a while, but you’d be surprised what you can find.

LOL. Your lady and my wife sing the same song.

Every bike I own has a sissy bar on it, for the same reason you're looking to mount one.

But for some reason, I still haven't talked her into climbing on the hardtail Sporty yet...

Australia is so far from anywhere, but has such a "bikie" scene, that they really should have done a Holden on Harley-Davidsons too.

Presumably you get hit by shipping, taxes, duties and handling charges on any imports?

I missed it, did you say which 1992?

Evos, early to mid TCs are all official obsolete in the US too. Part stocks have all been sold off to Vintage Parts, Inc which dealers worldwide can order from.

But they are starting to hike up prices of what they have left. It's what they do to make money. Like futures investments. They buy out OEM stock, hold it and then sell it back to dealers.

You'll find even better deals off Ebay in places like Craigslist or Kijiji, the Canadian version, if you are willing to extend some trust and arrange your own shipping.

Kijiji can be good as they are "not American" too and, hence, more flexible about shipping. They suffer the same problems, and are probably just as far away but in the other direction.
