shifting gears and rear stop light and turn lights
2001 road king classic,
- when engine is on and riding, is very difficult to shift from 1st to neutral or from 2nd to neutral..is this normal? I've heard that harleys comes with this "issue"
- my rear turn light is not working and turns out that there in no bulb in there but a small plate that has leds and stuff, is possible to find just the plate that comes inside the cover or do I need to buy the whole cover and plate?

I believe that locating Neutral on a H-D is inherently difficult for somebody new to them. I couldn't even find Neutral at all on a '16 test ride. When I got back to the dealership, I told the salesman about it. He comes out and I start the bike back up, he gets it into N without issues. Then I test rode a '17, Had difficulties again, but did find it eventually. The salesman said go lightly, it is not as long of a throw as other bikes. So. I get an '18, and still play with it. but, getting better at finding it.

I changed the transmission fluid in mine and it made shifting and finding neutral easy. I used mobile 1 synthetic. I am going to try either redline or spectro next time just to see if it is better. I bought a night train last month and it has a pink to red tranny fluid and it shifts even better than my electra glide, which is what caused me to want try something different in the glide.
