I don’t know about the power. Have not ridden one because I cannot get past how butt ugly they are. Indian has no soul compared to HD history, they’ve gone out of business how many times now? They are owned by a company that has already had one major brand flop and will pull the plug on Indian as soon as the investment does not pay off. Not to mention the dealer network is greatly lacking compared to HD.

I test rode one. The M8 has way more torque on the bottom end. The Indian has a metric feel to it. Had to blip the throttle to make sure it hadn’t stalled at a light. For some that might be a good thing. The Roadmaster has a power windshield that’s pretty cool, but rumor is that it is problematic.
One positive is that they have the whole buffeting thing figured out. Could have held a lit candle at pretty much any speed. The biggest deterrent for me was the lack of dealers. Closest one to me is almost 2 hours away. I have 4 HD dealers within the same distance. Closest just down the road. If you plan on traveling, dealer access is important.
