Default Quick Winter Project

Adding a Battery Tender USB adapter for charging phone or gopro.

- Install Battery Tender connector to battery (sorry no pic)

- Purchase

and

- Find way to route under tank. Need to remove tank. ***EDIT - I will try routing under the instrument bezel first, this should work fine.

- Find best way to attach charger piece to handlebar area. Not sure yet. Will update when finished.

Start charging your phone from the bike battery. This is charging while bike is off, but the point is to charge while riding. Just doing proof of concept.

I guess you could route under instrument bezel as well. I may try that first, less heat.

Great idea ! I'm planning on running the same thing from the battery under the tank in the wiring compartment up into the windshield bag so I can charge my phone and listen to my tunes while I ride . Dead phone wont do any good when you need it .

Last long trip I made, my phone lasted 10 hours with music and GPS going. I almost made it back to base but it would have been nice to have this on that trip.

My gopro died after 90 short minutes. This will be an excellent accessory for video recording.

Your wife will be happy with that!

SC winters are not bad, it was 34 this morning and cold. I'm cold natured, I don't get hot here until June. When it gets hot, it's brutal though.
