Default New from California

Hello everyone, My name is Tony, I'm 62 and my handle is Road ****. I upgraded from Son of Road **** after my pops passed. Long story short, I've been riding since I was 16 but didn't own a Harley until 2003. The first, which I still own is a 1999 red Heritage. Its a beautiful bike with bling for days. The best red Harley ever put out. This was my pops first Harley. The next was a 2007 powder blue Fat Boy for my wife. Went in for a headlight she saw it and had to have it. This would be her 3rd Harley. In 2016 we bought Road ***** 2010 black Heritage during his decline for sentimental reasons. We recently met a group of riders consisting of 20ish bikes all of which are Ultra Classics. We have been on several runs with them. I've never really been a hard bagger guy but I have to say at my age the thought of air ride a trunk and stereo was intriguing. Nobody wanted to ride behind me because my bike is so loud. 2" Vance & Hines long shots no baffles. One of the members had a 2010 Ultra with 14000 miles on it sitting in the garage collecting dust and made me a deal I couldn't say no to. So here I am......a hard bagger guy. And loven it. My wife loves it so much she's converted from a rider to a passenger. I'm still getting used to the weight of this beast and looking to the right balance of exhaust to stereo volume. It had silencers on it which I removed. It sounds a bit better but I'm looking for a more throater sound but don't want to drown out the stereo. I'd like to make another trip to Sturgis and this is the bike to do it on. Anyway that's the short story. I joined to get input and ideas on upgrades and bling. Cheers and keep the shinny side up!

G'day mate,

welcome to HDF.

I will be your tour guide. Be sure to read the manual before posting ok mate?

Or we will have discipline you and if you don't "get it" we will need to discipline you biker style.

Now, for your orientation. Go down the hall on your left to the 1st room. No, wait. That is where Izzo interviews the gals. The 1st room on your right. That is where the commissary is.

Then you will see doors marked for the mortuary, skeet shooting, a room where we make fun of In-Jun bikes, and of course we have a ahh, umm, oh yeah a across the hall.

We had a BOMB MAKING room but, well, ahhhhh, 1 of the guys just didn't understand Blasting Caps very well so..... you know.

We have our own pub .

There are several places where you can familiarize your self with the .

So don't be a wall flower watching others . Get involved.

See you around mate. I am going to the commissary now.

**** ON THE SERIOUS SIDE ****

**** I AM NOT ONE TO GIVE ADVICE ON HOW HDF WORKS BUT… ****
**** AND THE FOLLOWING IS UNOFFICIAL ****

You are in the “New Members Area” where you can introduce yourself and let us know what Harley Davidson bike(s) (if any) you ride/own.

If you have questions about engines, exhaust systems, audio issues, etc… then:

1) Please go to the upper corner and Roll Over “Forums

2) Then come down to and Roll Over “Harley Davidson Tech & Mechanical Forum

3) Then come down to the section that would be most appropriate for your question like Audio Systems, Engine Mechanical Topics, Exhaust System Topics, etc… and CLICK on the topic you have a question about.

You will find the knowledge here is EXCELLENT and these here mates are willing to help you in any way they can. ‘juss be careful. There are some “Trolls”, so I suggest just ignoring them ‘ole farts.

See you around HDF. Come often, we have a humor thread, game thread, and a LOT of other stuff.

Have A Great Day Mate,

BuzzCap7
