Why Road King corners so very well...
Yesterday I discovered (I think) why the Road King corners so very, very well....It is because it is top heavy!. Being top heavy makes it a bitch to get off the kick stand if you parked on uneven ground, but I realize, it is that same quality that makes the Road King "fall" into those corners so easily.

I've test ridden both the RK and my Heritage and I feel like my Heritage can corner better due to its low center of gravity. The RK has more degrees of clearance than the Heritage, but within those usable degrees, it can turn so much better IMO.
It top heavy was an advantage, an SUV would turn much better than a Corvette.

I have an RK and a Honda Gold Wing (F6B) .
The wing will effortlessly do corners whereas the King, one had better be ahead
of the envelope.
if you are pushing it through, You better be in the correct part of the turn at the right time.
If you do not understand "countersteer" with an HD it will teach you all about it as you
will learn to be very conscious of lead and the necessary action.
The low low CG of the GW makes it simple to through the apex.
Once you are set up you almost can let go of the bars.
With the RK it is trying to stand up all the way through.
All that said, I like the RK ride much better.
