I use EBC's HH sintered brake pads. Good initial "bite", don't fade, don't squeal and decent pad life. They do wear the rotors a bit more than the stock pads but I've been using them for over 30K of the 40K miles I have on the bike and the rotors are still fine.

If you put a new type/brand of pads on used rotors, you should try an remove as much of the previous pads material from the rotors prior to the bed in process so the new pads will bite better. Or simply replace the rotors as well.

I put them on at the beginning of the season and thought...these pads are junk. Had no bite...no stopping power and I was ready to change them out. Thankfully my laziness took over and they bedded in and now I think they're great...4k miles so far. I know now I should have cleaned the rotor first...i put them in the rear not the front

I am a fan of EBC sintered pads and rotors. I'll be moving to them when the time comes. Had them on my '04 Triumph Daytona 955i. They look good, too.

Try DP brake pads.A little less than Harley price, but no brake dust and grab good.Got the tip from "Motorman".

I just replaced HH pads with EBC semis front & rear... probably 2/3 the stopping power. I was shocked at the difference.

Reason I changed was the HH front pads had a loud sound like a field full of cicadas right from the start that never went away. The semis are quiet at least.
