Default After Big Bore, how's you MPG?

Hey to all, Ok blast away!! I know I'll get; Who cares...Not why I did it... etc. So here is the question, You had a 107/114, you wanted more power/torque for riding two up or just plain cruising. With that in mind did your mileage stay the same, drop or increase? Alrighty, let the fun begin although this is a serious question, I would really like to know. thanks, CSM-H

On my 2019 Road king 107 I was averaging 42 to 43 mpg Stock. After the FM124 Kit I am now averaging 38 to 39mpg. So I only lost about 4mpg -- a very reasonable trade off considering the power increase.

This is my nearly identical result as well with my 120 kit.

hdrider1 and strych9, that's the info I am looking for. I average about 8-9K a year not a lot, but not bad and I like getting reasonable mileage while I am doing it. thanks, CSM-H

are you guys maintaining the same speeds to get the 40 mpg? only way I can get 40-42 on stock bike is steady throttle and keeping rpms below 3k. . But CA gas sucks for mileage, I get better in Utah, east

I use 93 octane with 10% ethanol here in Ohio - available most everywhere here. On the Stock 107, mileage started at around 38-39 mpg when new and increased to 42-43 mpg as I reached around 2,000 mi. I do brisk takeoffs, but rarely if ever rev to redline and normally cruise at 75mph on the freeway. Generally only use full throttle for passing.

After the FM124 kit I drive the same way -- mpg continued to increase from 32-35mpg and leveled off at 38-39mpg once I got to around 3,000mi.

42 MPG to 35 MPG is less than $200 for 10,000 miles at $4 a gallon . I save a enormously more buying Hanes Beefy T's instead of the outrageously over priced Harley T's. LOL
They gave me 2 cards for 2 free T shirt worth $30 each when I bought my bike. It cost me $25 for 2 free T's for the wife (which were small size).
