Default Raising seat height

I continue to look for a used Sundowner for my Freewheeler. I am hoping to raise the seat height to make it easier to dismount. Osteoarthritis in the shoulder makes me want to minimize lifting myself up with the bars. An inch or two would be helpful. I have read some contradictory comments about whether the Sundowner raises or lowers the stock seat height. I hope someone can clarify or steer me in the right direction. The seats on the revival Electra Glide have you sitting about three inches above the stock Freewheeler height but of course this couldn't be done without great expense and modification. However, it would look very cool, imo!

I have a spine issue and all i do is push myself to the passenger seat by putting my hands on the front of the seat, sliding back and swinging my left leg.over the tank. Fwiw, i have a hammock.

I will give this a try although I suspect my knees will protest! Thank you. I am reading good things about the hammock.

Don - I just had surgery and from my spine issue I have a bad leg. My physical therapist showed me how to do this on my triglide. Easy as pie, on occasion I grab the bottom of my jeans on the bad leg. Greatest biker trick I learned in 20 years... I tried out about 4 seats, Mustang, Saddleman, Hammock and a Sundowner. By far, for me, the Hammock was the best.

There appears to be considerably less expensive copy of the Hammock online. The reviews and my available funds makes the knock-off hammock a strong contender!

Kenny- Your physiotherapist is a gem! This strategy works great and thank you for sharing. I didn't even think of asking mine but I will tell him in case he's ever asked.

Got a bad foot and knee (same leg) and I grab the bottom of my jeans to help swing my leg over the seat. Great advice!

An Air Hawk will set you up higher and be more comfortable also.

I got lucky and found a trike midstep on Ebay used. It makes on and off much easier for both of us.
